2013-2015
The project aims to make social care robots applicable in daily care. It will seek to demonstrate for three existing social robots IROMEC, KASPAR and PARO, how professionals (nurses, care givers, activity therapists, occupational therapists and others) can effectively put the systems to use in their daily work. The project develops in iterative cycles where care problems and needs are identified; solutions and applications are developed, tested and improved. Finally the robots will be refined in their functionality and used. Application protocols will be defined and validated.
